Jabruan Riley concluded his second season assisting the Wayne State University football staff. In 2005, he served as assistant running backs coach.
Riley is a graduate of Detroit Mumford High School, where he played quarterback and led the team to its first playoff berth in 1999, while earning Second Team All-City honors. He then spent three seasons as offensive coordinator at Detroit Mackenzie High School helping the Stags win two consecutive Public School League Division 2 championships. MHS also qualified for the state playoffs in back-to-back years.
He also was a member of the Stags coaching staff that helped the team win the district championship and compete in the regional championship, a first in school history.
Riley, 24, is slated to graduate from Wayne State in May 2006 with a degree in special education. He is single and resides in Detroit.
