DETROIT - Wayne State senior forward Stavros Paskaris (Dearborn, Mich./Kewadin Indians) and sophomore defenseman Jeff Caister (Mississauga, Ont./Milton Icehawks) were selected to the All-College Hockey America First Team, as voted on by the league coaches.
This season marks the first time WSU has been represented on the All-CHA First Team since three Warriors - Jason Durbin, Tyler Kindle, and David Guerrera - were selected at the end of the 2001-02 campaign.
Paskaris, who has 27 points in his last 15 games, leads Wayne State with 38 overall and ranks fourth in the league. He is tied-for-31st nationally in points per game (1.06) and tied-for-22nd in assists per game (0.69).
He has also broken the school records for CHA points (27) and assists (18) in a single year as well as the career marks (64 P, 41 A). With 97 career points overall, Paskaris needs two more to surpass Kindle for third all-time at Wayne State.

Caister, Wayne State's second-leading scorer this season (3-26--29), leads all CHA blueliners in scoring (sixth overall). He ranks fifth in Division I among defensemen averaging 0.81 points per game and 18th overall with 0.72 assists per game.
His two assists last Saturday gave him a total of 26 for the season, eclipsing Durbin's school record of 25 set in the 2002-03 campaign. Already the WSU standard-bearer for assists in a single season by a defenseman, Caister needs one more point to pass Kindle's blueliner mark of 29 set in 2001-02. After just two years at WSU, he ranks tied-for-fifth all-time among defensemen with 45 career points and fifth with 40 assists (tied-for-10th overall).
The Warriors will head to the College Hockey America Tournament next weekend at Niagara and face Alabama-Huntsville in the quarterfinal on Friday, March 14 at 7:05 p.m. ET. Fans can listen to the game on Teamline streaming audio or watch the webcast via B2 Networks.
